​Beedie Luminaries​


​Beedie Luminaries has several scholarships available for students with potential who are facing financial and other life adversities. Students who are smart, but constrained by circumstance. Students who are resilient and gritty. Students who are ready to make a positive change in their lives.

There are four programs available to graduating high school students, so you might be the right fit for one of them!

·  Shine, for a promising grade 12 student

·  Build, for students entering into the trades at BCIT

·  Rise, for refugees and immigrants

·  Spark, for single parents


There are specific eligibility requirements for each program, so please see the links above for more specific information and to apply.​

Applications are open until December 15th 2025 at 1pm PST.

​The British Columbia School Trustees Association (BCSTA), is committed to supporting students like you in achieving success as you complete your educational journey through the K-12 public education system. ​Remax Canada 2026 Quest for Excellence Scholarship Program


​The REMAX Quest for Excellence scholarship program is a cash scholarship that recognizes students for their ongoing community contributions and pursuit of leadership. Through this scholarship program, REMAX Canada is pleased to offer 40 scholarships of $1,000 each to students across Canada (except for Quebec).

​Sutherland Secondary 

Scholarship




​The Sutherland Scholarship and Bursary Application is to be completed by students who have excelled in academics and/or trades courses, participated in sports and/or fine arts, have extracurricular accomplishments, and/or Service. The information in this application will be used to determine recipients of scholarships and bursaries administered by the Sutherland Scholarship Committee. 

Online Application Form 
Grade 12 students will access the form in the TEAM Grade 12 – Sutherland Class of 2026, in the CHANNEL Scholarship and Bursary Information. The form includes requests for a summary of sports and fine arts participation, volunteer and extra-curricular activities, as well as career goals / educational plans for the future.​
Application are open until January 9th 2026. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.

Optional Bursary ​


​​This is an additional letter for those who have financial need and would like to be considered for a Bursary. Bursary awards include financial need as an important criteria.  Applicants for bursaries must provide information that demonstrates the significant need for financial assistance.  Please supply in detail the information you consider relevant in formal letter format.  You may wish to include information on your current living situation, family finances, and information on personal needs for next year, and expectations of how you will finance your future.  This information will be kept confidential within the committee. This letter is to be submitted to Ms. Anzer   for review by the Scholarship Committee. ​
Application are open until January 9th 2026. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.

  • EducationPlannerBC: Information about types of expenses, budgeting, student aid, and types of financial support; connects students to scholarship and other financial aid.
  • Global Scholarships: Connects students to university, external, and government scholarships, particularly for international students.
  • North Vancouver High School Education Foundation: The NVHSEF offers three types of awards. The Handsworth Scholarship Committee selects and invites several students to apply every year.
  • Scholar Tree: Helps students to find and apply for scholarships. Requires an account.
  • Scholarships Canada: Lists relevant scholarships and bursaries, free of charge. Requires an account, but students are not charged for using the site. 
  • Student Awards: Searchable database to help students sort scholarship opportunities by province, school, award value, difficulty, among other criteria. Students may subscribe.
  • BC Scholarships: Helps connect BC students with scholarships.
  • Student Scholarship: Scholarship database for students, free for public use.
  • Yconic: Weekly newsletters about scholarship updates, searchable database for scholarships, bursaries, and other funding opportunities.​
